Sup homies, name’s Jeik and I started my YouTube channel ‘RPSTV’ in July of 2016 mainly as a creative outlet. Documenting the Bike Life with the idea of creating dope vlogs to look back on.
A few years later, a couple dramas and a few hard lessons learned.. I was hustling YouTube on the side and working full-time in the Service Industry. I put out two vlogs every week (okay, so I missed a couple here and there but I stayed pretty consistent haha) and would Twitch stream whenever possible. At this time the channel was creeping up on 200,000 subscribers and I reached out to an amazing UK based helmet company that was putting out a new line of lids. They flew out to meet up and talk shop. We filmed and created some awesome content and a couple weeks later, RPSTV signed to the Ruroc helmets team. At the time I was able to match what I was making at my regular job between advertising and live streaming so I decided that cutting my income in half was worth the freedom of not having to work for anyone else anymore so I took the leap. I quit my job, cutting my pay in half and went full-time as a Content Creator on YouTube in August of 2019 and haven’t looked back.
Today RPSTV has over 25.7 Million views, 280,000 subscribers and is sponsored by Ruroc helmets. So I decided I’d finally get around to another creative outlet that I was always excited to get into. Designing and printing dope shirts. The first ‘Drip’ collection is also the first official RPSTV merchandise. It will be the first of the collection to drop and the first of many collections to come. Many will be completely unrelated to RSPTV and just be dope designs and shirts to take to the streets of the world. Though you might catch some cool dads sporting one of these bad boys, it’s not a brand that will likely be for those who are out of touch with their sense of style. You either get it or you don’t. The venture into full-time creating, though painful at times (may Shelby & Stella rest in pieces), has always been a wildly exciting ride to say the least. It’s been a lot of work between the channel, filming, editing vlogs, designing and printing up new design ideas, but every bit of blood sweat and tears is made worth it in finding an amazing audience of supportive homies who understand I’m just here to do what I love and create.
